More Than One Way To Stay

It appeared that our pleas had gone unanswered; however, as I sank myself into the words I was hearing, I found a new way to stay. The permanent waves that pushed my head under the surface of the glassy frozen ice made me a sanctuary undetectable by those who might tear it away. The idea of clinging to pieces of the wreckage did not appeal to me, so I was more than happy to find a home there in the unchanging world of frost. I knew without a doubt that my tears made the ice, a sense of safety for everyone. The tundra  became my home, but you are welcome to join if you will create more landscape, too. Stay if you will. Don’t change a thing.
